The Police on Tuesday arraigned a car dealer, Shedrak Garba, 33, of FHA, Lugbe, Abuja, Nigeria in the Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ Court for alleged criminal trespass and theft.
The Police Prosecutor, Cpl. Paul Anigbo, told the court that on June 8, one Ayeni Olugbenga of the same address reported the accused at the Lugbe Police Station.
Anigbo said that Olugbenga reported that on June 7, the accused criminally trespassed into his compound and stole his pumping machine valued at N20,000.
The prosecutor also informed the court that the accused sold the pumping machine to one Kabiru Ogene of Lugbe Zone 1, Abuja at a cost of N2,500.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Senior Magistrate Mohammed Anka granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 and a surety in like sum who should have a shop within the jurisdiction of the court.
He adjourned the case to June 25 for hearing. (NAN)
